OUR CREATIVE WRITING AND STORYTELLING PROGRAMS

ARE FOR INSPIRING LITTLE WRITERS WHO HAVE BIG IMAGINATIONS,

AND EVEN BIGGER STORIES TO TELL.

The role of Storytelling is as important as it has ever been.

Storytelling is an art form that has existed for as long as humans have inhabited the earth.
Throughout history, it was the storytellers, captivating audiences with their recounting of
heroic deeds or other important events, who rose to positions of respect and influence.

Whilst the way stories are told has evolved significantly over time, their role in society and for
individuals is just as important as it has ever been – as a way to teach lessons, communicate
and explain ideas, find empathy for others, provide entertainment, and make people care.

Our term-long programs and holiday workshops have been developed for age groups ranging from 5 to 13 and have been developed in collaboration with educators and professional writers.

  • Kids will learn the technical and creative art of storytelling and creative writing in a fun and interactive way.
  • Our programs help kids to find their voice and build confidence in their ideas and expressing them.
  • We provide a nurturing, supportive environment in which to encourage creativity and inspire imagination.
  • They will also learn to hear and respect the ideas of others, and give and receive feedback in a constructive way.

Check out what parents are saying about Story Squad!

“Story Squad meets kids in the Kingdom of Creativity and lets them run wild. Every kid who loves stories will love this class and be empowered to create their own.  A much needed storytelling workshop for kids, Story Squad puts the stories in their hands that they want to tell. All the kids come out shining with excitement.  Can’t recommend it highly enough.” Tiara

"'My daughter comes home inspired and uplifted after each Story Squad class. Her imagination is piqued and she feels proud of her ideas. She says it's nothing like school as it is so much fun.Thank you!!"  Bianca

"We love Story Squad! My son counts down each week until his next Story Squad class and I love how beautifully Tiffany shares her passion for writing with the kids. It's a special treat to encourage the love of writing and storytelling in such a fun, creative and non-clinical learning environment. And to see him share and expand on his new ideas outside of the class is awesome." Leanne

"Our daughter loves coming to Story Squad with her friend.  Her confidence in creative writing and storytelling has certainly improved in the short time she has been attending.  We’re looking forward to watching her flourish further.  Thanks Tiffany." Rich

Here's a sneaky peak into what we've been doing in term-time.

In our Young Authors program our 10-12's have been   learning techniques for creating characters, settings and plot structure whilst developing their own stories. Each session is accompanied by such boundless imagination and excitement flying around the room so fast I can hardly keep up! We’re dying to see everyone’s finished product!

In our Storytelling Foundations class our 8-10 year olds have been getting involved in a different creative writing challenge each week. In amongst the laughing, we've created zany characters, plotted stories about strange superheroes, come across an alien named Neville Longbottom, and competed for a grand prize at the end of the term.  Where will their imaginations take us next?

In our Dragons, Mermaids & Elves class our 4-5 year olds have been tucking into each weekly topic with their endlessly imaginative minds. We’ve read about a storytelling fish; dressed up as fairies, dragons and witches; made up stories from the objects in story bags; created crafty clowns; flown a plane to our beach holiday; and danced around the room to many a song!
