Story Squad has a range of curriculum-based programs, developed with teachers, and specifically designed to immerse and inspire your students. We can also adapt, or create bespoke workshops to suit your school and learning needs.

The key objectives of our programs are to engage and develop 21st century learners by:
Building a growth mindset around generating ideas and opening pathways to creative thinking
Understanding the role of stories in affecting change and putting positive ideas into the world
Inspiring kids to become confident storytellers as an effective means of communication and connection
Developing key skills of creative thinking and creative problem solving to overcome obstacles – real or imaginary!
Understanding different personalities and building empathy – for characters and each other.

Villainous Book Week workshops
Stage 3 kids at Bondi Beach Public School had a huge amount of fun channelling their most dastardly ideas when we explored character development and descriptive writing techniques, with a focus on creating villains.
Storytelling Foundations workshop
Kids in years 2 & 4 at Bronte Public School kids learnt techniques for creating whacky characters, crazy settings and action-packed plots, taking away an abundance of tools and inspiration to go forth and keep writing! Here's what the teachers had to say:

Potion Poetry workshops

Stage 2 kids made poetry magic with our Potion Poems workshops, whilst learning some key poetry and storytelling techniques, and having a ton of fun along the way!
Glenmore Rd Public School Enrichment Day
We spent half a day with budding writers getting imaginations firing, ideas flowing and pens moving. Kids learnt techniques for creating whacky characters, crazy settings and action-packed plots, taking away an abundance of tools and inspiration to go forth and keep writing!
