Right now, stories are more important that ever!

“One stormy night the wind was wild and a little girl was at sea in a little pink boat. She was very frightened and scared and she didn’t know what to do...” Willow, aged 7. 😍

My daughter, aged 8, is feeling pretty anxious about the 🦠 situation (she wrote this little story 😍).

We’ve talked to her about everything that’s going on but it’s times like this when vivid imaginations can work against kids by creating scary scenarios. 👹

In good news, getting kids to use their imagination engages and focuses their minds in the same way that physical activity does, providing a great distraction from feelings of stress and anxiety, as well as a way to express them.

That’s why now, it’s more important than ever to steer lively imaginations in a positive direction with awesome creative outlets, and stories stories stories!!!
